FAKE & FRAUD that's how i think about this company, the have offered in an online auction two etchings, i have bought them, hang them on my wall and decided to sell them two years later, so i have been to christies and sotheby's to value them, but they both turned out to be no etchings at all !!!!! but just pages taken from an ( old ) book, so i wrote this KODNER company with these remarkable discovery, and ask for a refund you know what they say? sorry but you only have 30 days to ask for a refund, yes i know it's in there "terms & conditions " but i had good faith in this company and it never came up with me to value them after i received them i thought i bought these items at a company that i was able to trust , when they say they sell me etchings, why should i have any doubt about that? so if you want to purchase anything with this company be very carefull because they sell items that are not what you think they should be, althought they tell you otherwise
You walk into the Kodner Gallery and the first thing you notice is that they don't have enough room for all their art. At first you may be taken aback by the paintings on the floor leaning against the wall, and the walls covered from top to bottom with artwork. But then you start to actually look at the art. Wow! This place has an incredible ratio of hits to misses. There is so much to see (and buy).
If you have any interest in art, or are looking to purchase something really nice for your home or business, don't hesitate for a moment to head over there during the day. If you are a serious aficionado I would call to make sure Dave Kodner is around (though I bet his brother knows just as much; it seems like a nice tight family-run small business). The collection must be seen!
High end gallery. Real friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I was shown around by Dave Kodner, son of the (deceased) founder. He knew so much about each piece. It was a great experience, and I hope to head back soon with an open pocketbook!
They have quite a bit of local art, but by no means is the collection limited to that. If modern art is your thing head downstairs for a good sized collection (remember the walls are COVERED with artwork, this is not like the Art Museum where you have one piece every 6 feet of horizontal wall space). Upstairs is graced with more traditional pieces, and tons of them.
High quality art with a staff that is very knowledgeable. They evaluate art and sell on consignment.
