As of October 1, 2013, Baumann Colonial Chapel merged with the family owned and operated funeral home of SHEPARD FUNERAL CHAPEL. All of Baumann's records and preneed plans along with two long time staff members, Mitch Wilson and Dave Schreiber, are located at Shepard's. We believe that a great team ministry has been formed with merging the two firms with over a hundred years of serving the community together. They were very nice and professional. I felt like they really went above and beyond to help us with the details. I had trouble getting the music on the right CDs and they helped me with that Kama which I know they did not have to do. It's little things like that that make me appreciate them so much.
Shepard funeral home made the loss of my father a bit easier to handle.Nothing could make it easy.They were very sympathetic to my mother's needs and handle this terrible situation with the tenderness and compassion that our family needed.
The staff at Shepard Funeral Home has handled the funerals of several family members including an infant grandson. With each funeral they have anticipated all of our needs before we knew of them.
