Molly Darcy's has the best chicken pot pie that I've ever eaten. The crust was layered and flaky, not doughy at all, and the chicken, carrots, and sauce were perfectly cooked. The sauce was creamy and delicious, not too rich and not too bland. It's the perfect comfort food!!

Service was excellent. Hostess/waitress and other wait staff were SUPER friendly and kept our drinks full. We certainly felt appreciated and welcomed. But, the food? Wow. I'm not a fancy cook, but I at least use some seasonings and flavors when I prepare meals. Both my and my friend's meals were extremely bland. It was almost borderline odd how plain they were. I was interested in a couple things on the menu, but now I'm worried that it would be a wasted visit to return for things I can get elsewhere (that would have any sort of seasoning/flavor/zip to them). :(

My husband also enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie. Until Molly Darcy's my Shephard's Pie was his favorite! The beef and lamb is infused with pork at Molly Darcy's and it was excellent!!

The first night at this nice but pretty empty pub, we sat out on the porch and had to go back in to get the bartenders attention to order food. That said, the tenderloin sandwich and fish & chips were so good, we went back a second time. The service was faster the second time with another tenderloin sandwich and a grilled chicken sandwich which were both good. The third time was a repeat of the first with prompt service. I can't tell you how good the tenderloin was. Nice soft bun, crispy onion straws, lettuce and tomato. Horseradish, if you want. We sat out on the patio two nights. There was virtually no traffic. This place never had more than two other patrons while we were there. There was a good guitarist/singer at lunch the second time. The food's great. Go.

Food at the pub is tasty and inexpensive! You must try at least one of the daily specials. Hotel is quaint and the rooms are comfy. It's an old aprtment/house type building, so no stairs. Ask for a first floor room if u can't cling the rather narrow stairs. Staff here are friendly and will do most anything for you.

Our server was also wonderful and they offer a good military discount!

I'm traveling for business, and Molly Darcy's appeared on a list of restaurants close to my hotel. I walked in and seated myself at the bar. I sat for about 5 minutes without seeing the bartender. There was one couple seated at a high top close to the bar, who were finishing their meal and said that the bartender had served them, so I waited. She came out a few minutes later, got refills for the couple at the high top, and took my drink order. She didn't pour my beer. Then she disappeared again. I waited a few more minutes before getting up and leaving the restaurant. I was looking forward to the fish and chips, but instead, I'm eating elsewhere.
