I just recently had a great experience here. I had major surgery and the doctor, nurses, and aides were so nice and supportive as was the dietary dept. I would highly recommend this hospital. They put me at ease during a very stressful and anxious time.
My wife had scopes done yesterday. Worst recovery nurse ever. Before she was going in and waiting the nurses were running around like children cussing and talking about others. We came here thinking it was better. Also my wife has cuts on her lip and it is huge from the endoscopy and bruises from the procedure also. Not impressed with this hospital.
Dr. Paul Lux did by-lateral knee replacement in 2006 a fantastic surge to. Still doing great.
I feel like some of the employees are rude. I feel like the employees could be more polite. One of the employees hung up on one of my family members.
I came in tonight crying I was in a tremendous amount of pain in my arm. The receptionist demeanor was cold and seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered even though I told her that I couldn’t fill out the paperwork because my arm was hurting so bad. She insisted on me filling out the paperwork so I finally just handed her my drivers license and my insurance card and just signed the paper . The nurses as well could definitely show more empathy towards the patients and be more caring. I understand it’s a small hospital and they are short staffed,but it was definitely very unprofessional to just leave me sitting there in a chair and then take me to the bathroom to give me shots for the pain I was having. The shots were painful and I had trouble making it back to my chair, yet once she was done with the shots she just walked away not even helping me back to the chair or informing me on how much longer I had to sit there and wait for the doctor so I could be released. I tried to get their attention twice just to get some water because I was dehydrated and felt like I was gonna faint from the pain(I am terrified of needles). All in all it wasn’t a good experience and the nurses could definitely use some training dealing with patients and actually show some compassion. They just kept walking by me like I wasn’t even there. It would’ve been nice if at least one of them checked on me and asked if I am ok and if I needed anything, but sadly you won’t get none of that at this hospital. However the doctor was nice ,and that’s the only reason I’m not giving this review one star.Worst staff ever! The only reason I went there and not to Mercy Hospital is because I was in too much pain to drive and this hospital is closer to my house. Learned my lesson the hard way!
