Worst experience ever. Megan the manager was worthless and rude. Will never go again unless I get a apology.....I will also go out of my way to share the experience.
We were seated inside.....it was to warm the waitress offered to move us outside. 5 of us sat at a 4 top and had my grandson. Waitress Missed one meal....but Long story short. Megan says I need a chair so we sat the car seat on the ground....vs getting any one of the 20 other empty chairs. Asked for her name and she said it's not their policy to give names. She says very condescending, we don't give names out......accused us of seating our selves.
Love this place. Good food, friendly service, and ducks on the pond. A nice summer meal
Honestly... I did this to myself. I should have read reviews before I decided to go.
SO. Basically.... I say all this to say... I probably wouldn’t come back here unless it was the last restaurant open in the city.
Good: The patio is nice, quiet, and covered. There’s a nice view of the lake and people on paddle boats. The shade was good in this summer heat.
The service wasn’t good. Our server didn’t check on us at all. We didn’t get drink refills until somebody else noticed empty glasses on the table. We didn’t order our meals until the appetizer came out, but the food came almost immediately. Kinda like they were just sitting in a window waiting to be ordered... Consequently, my sandwich came with potato salad even though I asked for fries instead. We didn’t see our server that much. Most of what we asked her for was delivered by someone else.
Food was tasty for sure but overpriced. The service was not great for our party of 14. Wait was 40 minutes on a moderately busy day and I took them 1 hour and 30 minutes to serve us through payment. Our glasses were empty most of the time. I was hoping not to spend my whole afternoon eating lunch. We are about to leave and it’s 3:10. ?????? Beautiful park area with pond behind is nice.
First time eating here and the food was a bit overpriced. Not bad, but nothing special. The outdoor atmosphere by the lake is absolutely beautiful, however. Luckily the alcohol isn't overpriced. I'd recommend upping the quality of the food and having a server for the outdoor patio area. A greater waitress can turn an average experience into an extraordinary one. And if you're legally able to have it, it would be great to allow smoking on at least part of the patio.
Bad: None of our food was good. The crab cakes were mostly filling, didn’t taste any crab. The aioli wasn’t great. The slaw was dry. The cod with the fish and chips taste like grease. The fries were cool, but nothing you couldn’t get at Costco. The grilled salmon sandwich, their “most popular sandwich,” is just a dry piece of salmon and their dry slaw, no kind of sauce.
I will do the owner a favor and will be calling....I would hate to own a Resturant and have this type of representation
