We did dine in with our Chinese and Japanese friends...the food kept coming and coming and coming. Everything was wonderful. I hope I can post some pictures here. The shrimp with walnuts and broccoli was amazing. Soups good, appetizers great. Flounder ! Beef! Curried shrimp in rice noodles,, a tofu stew over rice!
Yummy. I'm not easy to please. I'm Korean and from Los Angeles and had access to lots of good Chinese food before moving here. Not easy to find good Asian food in St. Louis. Good central location. Like the salt & pepper calamari and the shrimp was succulent--not overcooked and large--not the little bay shrimp. Beef was tasty and tender--it must have been ribeye or tenderloin. Even my picky elementary-school-aged son liked the food...I almost fell out of the booth from surprise. Try it out! Would be a nice calm place for families to eat, too. Took pics of the food I liked. (By the way, I saw some other reviews. This may be too authentic for non-Asians. There is always Panda Express if you don't like authentic.)
I loved their hot buffet to get an easy plate to go. It was like Panda Express, but so much better. Now they've done away with the buffet and have only their made-to-order regular menu (at much higher prices). No more noodle bowls, plates, or platters. I'm sure they have their reasons, but it's a big step back for what was a really convenient Chinese option.
Service was okay. Had to ask for water refills. The food was tasty. Not as hot as it should be. Just warm. The garlic green beans were actually cold and the garlic sauce was warm at best. Maybe that is the way it is supposed to be served but not what we would have liked.
Pretty good! Limited menu that includes standby dishes with options to try new things. Sort of like panda express but locally owned, and better quality. Love the dim sum options. If you go off-peak hours expect to have entrees that are not fresh. Price is decent. I'm irritated about today's visit because I already bought a drink and there's nothing without a ton of sugar (was hoping for iced tea, but diet coke is out also). Good for lunch.
