When I spoke to Women to Women Healthcare, they told me that they entered in to a contract with Pathology that detailed that they would be billed as an in network provider. When I asked to see a copy of that contract, they told me no. Pathology clearly violated the alleged contract but is not being held accountable, and Women to Women healthcare is passing that responsibility and consequences on to their patients.
Very poor office management. Received call from office that they were rescheduling appointment for offices convenience - clerk was rude. Showed up for rescheduled appointment 5 minutes early and was advised that appointment was cancelled because I didn't arrive 10 minutes early.
I have been coming to this office for over 20 years... NO MORE!!! As a health care professional, I am appalled that this is how patients are treated...
I never consented to have my lab work sent out of network, and had no reason to believe this would be the situation since I had been going there for years. In addition, despite going back and forth with them for months, they have failed to provide a solution and, while acknowledging the headache that this situation is causing, have continued not to be accountable to their patients who are being pursued by a debt collector for out of network charges that are in violation of their alleged mutual contract with Pathology.
Do not go here!! While the patient services are acceptable (not great by any stretch of the imagination), this office has gotten me in the middle of a lot of debt and headache and w2w has been horrible in handing the situation. Spare yourself!
When I asked about the situation, they said they had been getting a lot of calls from other patients whose information has also been sent to the debt collecting agency, and many of their clients were very upset, but they have offered no resolution to this situation and have given me a never-ending run around. I have been e-mailing and calling them for over a year and all I am getting is "well the debt collecting agency won't call us back either," but no resolution or accountability.
I will no longer recommend this office or doctors....
If I could give them a 0 stars rating I would. I have been going to this doctor's office for years, and for some reason in 2016 ( a situation I am still dealing with), they sent my lab work to Pathology, inc, in California. I have been going back and forth with Women to Women for the last 2 years. I have the same insurance and have never had to pay for my annual check up, but that year I was charged over $200 because they sent it to a different lab without my consent. The lab then closed, so I couldn't even pay the amount, and sent my information to a debt collector.
My past 2 visits were good. Last 1 not so good. Dr. Hogan was rude and not comforting. I spoke with her about getting pregnant and she made me feel like a fool. I cried when I left. Her assistant isn't friendly nor does she have any sort of personality. I will never go back there again.
The reason I am so incredibly disappointed in Women to Women healthcare is that they have failed to address this situation. They said they had a contract with the company to protect their patients but they won't show it to me and they won't enforce it or take responsibility for sending my information to a fraudulent lab without my consent or help with the consequences of it.
I have always been happy with Women to Women, but I haven't been to their office for over two years. I don't know what happened. Not sure if they have dropped me as a patient since I am now retired. I have misplaced all my Patient Portal sign on information, and cannot seem to get through to the office.
I don't think enough positive things have been written about Dr. Hogan. She is very direct and assertive about her patient's health care, and I consider that a major plus! She does it because she truly cares about your health and wants to make sure that you're taking care of yourself in the best way possible. Also, I appreciate how reliable Women to Women is. Any time I've called with a question, I just leave a message directly with a nurse, and Dr. Hogan has always promptly called back in the same day, and she always seems to remember me. To me that means that they take excellent notes, which makes our interactions much more comfortable. I think Women to Women was a great find!
